In recent years, with the popularization of the concept of ubiquitous display, display screens have become more and more widely used, and we are gradually surrounded by screens. Cars are our usual mea

According to the data of Qunzhi consulting, in 2017, the total shipment volume of vehicle-mounted display panels in the world was about 150 million (excluding afterloading), with a year-on-year growth of about 12%.It is expected that the global shipments of vehicle-mounted display panels will grow to 170 million in 2018, and the rapid growth of domestic new energy vehicles and smart cars will become the main driving force for the growth demand of vehicle-mounted display.

At present, vehicle display screen can be divided into four categories: instrument display screen, head display screen, central control display screen, backseat entertainment display screen; the first three are front loading display, the latter is a rear loading display screen. The central control display and rear seat entertainment display are mainly configured with touch control. The central control display (CID) has little change in audio frequency, navigator, air conditioning control and other information display applications, but the future appearance and shape and touch control operation will be more user-friendly. The car display market has a broad prospect, and panel manufacturers such as JDI, Sharp, Innolux, AU, LGD and BOE have also laid out their layouts, and the market competition is fierce

JDI

As a leading enterprise in the global vehicle-mounted display application market, JDI has been leading the development trend of the vehicle-mounted display market for many years. The company has taken the vehicle-mounted display business as its strategic focus, and the vehicle-mounted display business will continue to grow. JDI USES LTPS production line to produce vehicle display screens, capable of producing high resolution products above FHD, which can present customers with more exquisite pictures.

At CIAPE exhibition this year, JDI launched a car cockpit integrated with rearview mirror, CID, transverse width curved display and other kinds o fvehicle-mounteddisplay products, which fully reflects the four development trends of on-board display, such as large size, multi-screen, curved, interactive and so on. Nearly every display in the JDI cockpit is at least 10 inches in size. For example, the 10.2 inch touch screen, 12.3 inch cross-width display and 16.7 inch CID are all available.

Currently, there are six screens in the cockpit of JDI cars.¡°HUD£¨Head up Display£©¡±¡¢the emergence of virtual rearview mirror, on-board navigation and other on-board display applications is likely to make the number of on-board display applications in the future more than 10. And these on-board displays are not just display interfaces, but human-computer interaction interfaces, which may integrate gesture recognition, touch control and other interactive technologies.

In addition, the curved crosswalking display in the cockpit of JDI car deserves our attention. Currently, there are few market cases of flexible display in the application market of on-board display. Curved display can bring more design space and technological beauty to cars. JDI's application of curved display in vehicle display has certain foresight. If flexible OLED technology can be broken through in the future, flexible display will have huge imagination space in the application market of vehicle display.
